Village of Merrick Park - Miami Hotels .com

When the upper middle class in the southern portion of the county realized they didn't want to have to drive up north to the Shops at Bal Harbour, developers quickly responded with the Village of Merrick Park, strategically placed the ritzy neighborhood of Coral Gables. Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Betsey Johnson, Roberto Cavalli, Express, Anthropologie, Jimmy Choo and Tiffany & Co. all quickly set up shop.

Despite a bit of a rough start (lower than expected number of shoppers), Merrick Park is finally finding its rhythm and it borrows a page from the Shops' handbook. Instead of a mall atmosphere, the open-air Merrick Park wants you to feel like you are shopping in a small downtown area. It is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in there area.
