Discovery of America Day - Miami Hotels .com

This festival is held at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater on Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. This all day event can be attended by all free of cost. It celebrates the discovery of America by the Italian discoverer Christopher Columbus.

Nearly 35,000 people gather along the beach front to see the rendition of the arrival of Spain's three tall ships which brought Columbus to the Americas. People wave flags and don the traditional South American clothing. Get a taste of South American foods and watch the traditional musicians and dancers from Spain and Latin America perform. The event also features activities for children.
