Watch the latest art movies at this film festival. Miami Film Festival, which has been showcasing international and Ibero-American film for over 25 years, is often thought as Cannes Film Festival of America.  It is more known for displaying art movies rather than box office hits. Movies showcased by the festival can be seen at select theatres through out the city, but the epicenter of all the action is the Gusman Center in Downtown Miami.

The festival awards the movies for dramatic and other features with the grand jury prize of $25,000. The festival also monitors festival panels, seminars and discussions that explore the various educational and social dimensions of cinema apart from its commercial aspects.
