Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival - Miami Hotels .com

For over 10 years, the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival has been a celebrated event with sold-out screenings. It is sponsored by Avis Rent-a-Car, Sundance Channel and Flamingo South Beach. The festival's special guests and other superstars can be seen at wild parties held at various city venues.

The festival screens more than 110 movies at various theaters, particularly the Gusman Center and Colony Theater, and it closes with a gala night. Winning juried films are chosen by a committee of industry professionals and the audience awards are selected from amongst the screened films. The movie awards are given in the categories of Best Fiction Feature, Best Documentary, Best Short Film - MGLFF Audience Award, Best Feature - MGLFF Audience Award, Best Documentary - MGLFF Audience Award.
