It is the beach we all know and love. It's sexy, it's trendy, it's cool, it's South Beach. Officially known as Lummus Park, South Beach attracts hard bodies from all over the world to its inviting soft sand and warm waters. It is the reason most people come to this city, because not visiting South Beach during your stay is like not having visited Miami at all.

It is one of the few topless beaches in the United States, primarily because of the European and South American beach-goers, and barely there swimwear is the norm for women - and yes, even some men take the risk. Despite its status for being a bit raunchy, it is still very family friendly as long as your not too modest about what you think your children ought to see.

To be as close to the beach as possible, consider staying right on Ocean Drive. The noisy and busy street might keep you awake at night, but no one comes to South Beach to sleep anyway. The Colony Hotel and Hotel Victor are some of the best hotels on the strip.
