Rubell Family Collection
One of the most impressive art collections in the world is housed in a former Drug Enforcement Agency building whose walls went from holding drugs and weapons to keeping priceless works of art. The Rubell Family Collection is only open to the public six months of year, but if you are lucky enough to be in town during December through May, you will see one of the most astonishing private collections in the United States.

Don Rubell, brother of the late Steve Rubell, owner of Studio 54, and his family have amassed a contemporary art collection that includes works by Andy Warhol, Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koons and Jean-Michel Basquait.

The 45,000-square-foot museum is located in Wynwood, nearby many other museums and art galleries such as the Margulies Collection at the Warehouse and the Dorsch Gallery.
